Kathy Jones
Treasurer
Mrs. Jones retired from the University of West Florida’s Center for Asian Studies in 2020.
She served 14 years as Program Manager for the UWF Department of International Affairs’ Japan Center/Florida-Japan Linkage Institute/Center for Asian Studies providing cultural programming, study abroad opportunities and support to the sister city and sister state programs with partners in Japan.
Prior to moving back to her hometown of Pensacola, Florida in 2006, Mrs. Jones spent 15 years as the Manager and Program Coordinator for the Georgia Department of Education’s Technology Training Center/Center for Teaching and Learning at Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia. The Center provided technology training and instructional support to pre-service and in-service educators in a 17-county service area in west central Georgia.
Kathy and her husband Larry are passionate about their family. They are busy in their retirement running a family business and visiting their 3 sons and their families-including 5 grandchildren- whenever possible. They enjoy boating, beaching, fishing, and evenings around the fire pit.
